In a nod to the halls’ history, 1854 symbolises the year St George’s Hall opened its doors to the public.

we are openDrawing inspiration from the iconic Minton Tiles, Café 1854’s branding weaves vibrant colours and intricate patterns into its visual identity,  paying homage to the halls’ architectural significance.

Located next to Lime Street Station and opposite St Johns market, it is the perfect spot to grab some lunch or a coffee during your commute!

Teaming up with  National Museums Liverpool, we’re bringing you delicious cakes directly from the World Museum Liverpool. By partnering with a supplier close to St George’s Hall, the team can collect café goodies on foot, reducing carbon emissions!

And that’s not all, an exciting collaboration with Crosby Coffee, a local coffee roastery known for its exceptional brews, will ensure consistent quality and service!

We are typically open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am until 4pm but this can change subject to events in the hall.

Selling tea, coffee and cake!

We are now also selling hot food between 11:30am until 3:30pm.

You can grab some warming  Scouse with red cabbage  for just £6.95 or soup of the day  for £4.95, both come with a warm crusty bread roll on the side!
